Iced Hazelnut Mocha Recipe

You guys. I have mastered the most delicious drink. And it’s so so good. Since I’ve had Freya, I’ve been making most of my coffees at home and trying out different recipes. Plus, ya know, money saving here and there.

I went onto Torani’s (the coffee shop syrup) website to order a few different syrups and saw they had hazelnut mocha. That’s a new syrup of theirs that I hadn’t tried, so that went into my order! I love it because it doesn’t contain any artificial ingredients or preservatives, and it is delicious!

I use an aeropress coffee maker to make my espresso shots and depending on the espresso you’re using, they can be the best espresso shots you’ve ever had. Seriously. Anyone who’s used an aeropress can attest to that. I discovered Joshua Tree Coffee recently and it’s the best. I haven’t ever had such perfect shots with the perfect crema on top, and the flavor is exquisite! Plus it’s organic. 🙌

Normally, I used to use organic skim milk for my coffee, but I’ve veered to Darigold protein milk and love it. It’s got 14 grams of protein in one cup! Super easy way to up my protein intake.

So without further adieu, here’s what you’re going to do! 😏

This recipe is for a 16 ounce iced coffee.

☕️ Brew two espresso shots in whatever espresso maker you’re using.

☕️ Layer the bottom of your cup with the hazelnut mocha syrup. I kind of just drizzle it until the bottom is covered, maybe 1/4”. I don’t like my drinks too too sweet.

☕️ Pour in 1/2 cup milk of your choice and stir the syrup and milk together until it’s mixed well.

☕️ When your espresso shots are done, add those in as well.

☕️ Top with ice and enjoy!
