Evening in Glacier Natl Park and Whitefish, Montana

We’ve embarked on our annual trip to the west coast! I was thinking last night that I might actually like starting the summer with this trip, instead of ending the summer with it. Because now it feels like this should be the end of the summer, but it’s not. It’s great! Like a little mind trick.

We once again stopped in whitefish for a night to split up the drive. It was an uneventful drive, ten hours straight across northern montana. We checked into the motel, Chalet Inn, my fav, then got dinner at Mudman Burger, and headed up to Glacier for the evening. There wasn’t any colorful sunset, but it was pretty scenery anyway!

Later in the evening after leaving Glacier, we picked up little cups of ice cream from sweet peaks in whitefish.

I think next year, I’ll book a hotel in Polson for a change! Whitefish is nice, but it would be fun to try out some diff restaurants, coffee shops, etc.

Now today we are finishing the journey west! I finally get a break from driving and started knitting another of my mustang tank patterns, this one in red! Gives me reminiscence of special times plus it’s going to be perfect for the 4th of July.

Time to stop for another coffee! Just a few hours left until we are there.:)
