A’more ice cream 🍦 and Baker Park

To celebrate National ice cream day, we took a short drive over to A’more ice cream, right off Highway 25 in Buffalo. Super cute little place! They have sooo many flavors of ice cream, it was seriously so hard to choose! I ended up getting a waffle cone with one scoop of cake batter fudge and one scoop of zoreo, which is a super dark chocolate with Oreo. Such a delish afternoon treat. Although I’m really feeling a need to go without any treats for this week, which will be difficult traveling to Michigan. I live for travel treats.

This evening I went to meet up with my og bestie at Baker Park in maple plain. The lake I grew up going to here and there! I picked us up coffees at caribou, she brought snacks and drinks for the kids, and they got to enjoy the evening playing to their hearts content! We went down to the lake for a little bit to watch the sunset, walked a little trail, and then finished off the evening with more playground time. Another perfect Minnesota evening in the books.

Also, it was so cute. I was telling the kids on the way there how we were close to grandma and grandpas old house. One of the kids mentioned how they love that house because that’s where they last saw grandpa. My oldest son pipes up and says “I miss grandpa so much, he was the best dad.” My daughter says “he wasn’t your dad, he was moms dad”. And he says “yes I know, but he was the best dad for mom so that makes him the best dad”. 💗
