5 Books to add to your reading list đź“š

Happy Friday! Today, I’ve got some book recommendations for you guys! I devoured all five of these books in the past week and they were all so good. If you’re into psychological thrillers, thrillers, and the odd romance, these are for you!

You Shouldn’t Have Come Here by Jeneva Rose.

Super twisty book. Woman heads for a break from her city life to stay at an Airbnb in desolate Wyoming. She falls for the host, who is doing likewise for her, but nobody else wants her there. He’s under suspicion for a woman who’s gone missing, but she doesn’t care. You won’t believe the end.

None of This is True by Lisa Jewell.

I always love Lisa Jewells novels and this new release of hers was right up at the top of her best! A story of a woman going through what seems like a mid life crisis. Tired of her husband, life, everything. She befriends a famous crime podcaster, who happens to be her birthday twin, and gives her a pitch for a new series. Then a terrible crime is committed and nobody knows what’s the truth and what isn’t. Ugh this was so good.

One True Loves by Taylor Jenkins Reid.

I’ve become a huge fan of Taylor Jenkins Reid. And while they aren’t psychological thrillers, they’re really good life stories. This one was about a woman who’s faced with a difficult choice. She’s engaged three years after her husband has been declared dead when the helicopter he was on went down in the ocean. Suddenly he comes back into her life, thinking life can go back to how it was. Not so. This book was really one that makes you think about relationships and what it truly is you need in life. And how there can be more than one true love.

Everyone Here is Lying by Shari Lapena.

Another author I’m obsessed with. I’ve always got her new releases on preorder! This is a fabulous story about a 9 year old girl who goes missing. She’s a somewhat difficult child and has a father with a bad temper. The investigation is focused on him, thinking he finally snapped. However, like the title says, everyone is lying. This one’s got a good twist ending!

Just Another Missing Person by Gillian McAllister.

This is embarrassingly the first novel I’ve read of Gillian McAllisters. But in a way, it’s a good thing, because now I can go back and snatch up her others! Another book I loved! Seriously you guys, my book selection was divine! This was a story about a detective woman who is investigating the case of a young woman gone missing. But she ends up getting blackmailed with a secret that could cost her her entire career. As she races to find the missing woman, she’s also investigating the morals of her own life. Such a ending too!

An online “friend” of mine in the knitting world told me she has written down so many quotes from Taylor Jenkins Reid’s books. And I couldnt believe I’ve never thought of doing that! There’s so many times when I’m reading and will think wow, I love that. And then promptly forget about it.

“I don’t think that true love means your only love.

I think true love means loving truly.

Loving purely. Loving wholly.

Maybe, if you’re the kind of person who’s willing to give all of yourself, the kind of person who is willing to love with all of your heart even though you’ve experienced just how much it can hurt . . . maybe you get lots of true loves, then. Maybe that’s the gift you get for being brave.”

That’s one of my favorites from One True Loves. It is really such a heart touching book.

Hope you enjoyed and got a few new reading ideas! Have a lovely weekend!
