Theodore Roosevelt National Park is straight up underrated. The beauty, colored rock, bison, cliffs, rock spheres, a mixed terrain. The drama starts before you even get to the entrance of the park. Whether you enter coming from south on 85 or north, it’s the same dramatic shift of landscape. One minute you’re cruising through the plains, surrounded by fields as far as you can see, you go around a corner, and it’s as if land dropped away, revealing a whole new world. It’s stunning. No matter how often I see it.
As I was snapping photos out the window, I commented that I take the same photos every single time I come. Because every single time, it never ceases to amaze me. I find the exact same spots newly intriguing. Although, it does like different in each season!
The bison weren’t as plentiful this trip, which happens about every other trip. Nbd. It’s just fun to climb around on the rocks for awhile, search the cliff walls for goats (still have yet to see them here) enjoy the views, and have a day out of the house.
