Part One Photo Journal of Michigan Journey

The 2024 Michigan trip is underway!

The kids and I hit the road Saturday morning for the first leg of our journey, stopping at my moms for a couple nights.

I did my regular stop in Minot for coffee and we got our chick fil a in Fargo! The drive went incredibly well. I think it was the happy vibes of excitement for the cabin! My oldest was like “I just feel so happy right now”.

I hauled a bunch of clothes I’m bringing to the thrift store here and I have to get an oil change before continuing on to Michigan. Plus a little bit of shopping for stuff I forgot! And a meet up with my bestie.

Even though my mom lives in town, there’s some nice sunset viewing spots just a walk down the street. I ventured out to snap some photos and get my body moving after the car ride. The sunset wasn’t anything too extravagant, but cute.

I also finally remembered to buy one of those disposable cameras for Michigan! I had wanted to get one for my last Florida trip but completely forgot. I can’t believe how much those things cost nowadays! $18.99! I remember buying those for like $6 back in the day. I cannot wait to use it and develop it. That was such a highlight of my childhood and teen years. I still have photos from them and they’re so fun to look back at. Plus, you don’t take a million pics of one thing trying to get it right. You snap once and move on!

Time to get ready for a week of beach, sun, sauna, sunrises and sunsets, family, and a good time.

❤️ Bethany
