Better late than never I think! I’ve been, like usual, so busy since I got back from my trip to Minnesota and Michigan, I haven’t gotten around to updating anything on here.

Rabbit bay was the perfect end of summer trip! I got a little surprise and my bestie cousin and one of my brothers that hasn’t managed to make it there in years, came up there for a few days. It was such a good time! We had coffee outings, waterfall viewing, little town exploring, breakfast from a Finnish restaurant, and late nights visiting until three am. Like every summer, the cabin trip is where I get the most laughing out of the entire year. I’m already missing it and the people. We had quite a large group. All of my siblings except 3, my mom, my kids and my sisters kids (she wasn’t up there), my bestie cousin, and 3 of his sisters, plus a sisters fiancé. I still cringe that I’m saying bestie by the way. 🤣

The weather was perfect for the first few days, then turned rainy and chilly for the last few. But we got some good waves, decent enough water temps to sauna swim, and cozy vibes all around. Rain or shine, rabbit bay is always perfect.

My sister and I both had our birthdays while we were there. She turned 21 and I turned 34 and it’s bizarre that I suddenly am so old.

This was also the first summer there without my grandma being along. And it was definitely noticeable. In all years prior, she’d be up making breakfast early, it was heavenly waking up the smells of bacon and blueberry muffins. She’d meander around doing little chores and then relaxing on the porch swing or in the living room reading. It’s just crazy how many changes have happened with the cabin feels over the last few years. My grandparents and my dad missing alter it all. But it’s still the best place on earth.
